Nagata sat on his horse and he was riding through the woods. He had no home, no family, no friends and no future. His whole life belonged within the Mikomi village. ‘How could this have happened?’ He thought, but had no answer at all. ‘What will I do now? The room was empty now. Everybody had left it after the meeting. That is, everybody except Hitori. She sat down on one of the chairs, thinking about the strange day. Not one thing went according to plan, though Hitori wasn’t complaining.
